Cut

Cut, usually confused with a diamond's shape, actually refers to
the arrangement of the facets. The precision and finish of each facet determines how much a diamond 'shines'. So whatever the shape of the diamond, it will sparkle if it is well cut

The sketch below shows how cut affects the diamond's ability to handle light.

Deep cut:
Light escapes throught the side
Shallow cut:
Light escapes throught the bottom.
Perfectly cut:
More light more brilliance on the top.

A well cut diamond is better able to handle light creating more brilliance and sparkle, and therefore commanding more value. We at Bapalal take great pains to select diamonds only to ideal proportions, ensuring the best for you.
