Started in 1910, Bapalal initially specialized in diamonds. Later gold jewelry and silverware were added to their activities.

Over the decades and into the present, Bapalal remains a jeweler where one can buy assured of the product.

Bapalal selects it's diamonds from source markets - only diamonds of superior quality are destined for manufacture into the company's product range. They then pass through the hands of master craftsmen getting transformed into the fine jewels appreciated by clients worldwide. The strict quality control and skilled craftsmanship ensure clients derive years upon of wearing pleasure.
 
 Jewelry at Bapalal centers on fine diamonds and widens to include a whole range of quality diamond jewelry - from traditional closed set diamond jewels like the 'thodu' and nose rings, to contemporary design and investment grade solitaires. 

Management

Pranav, the only third generation member of the founders, heads the company. Under the guidance of his father Harshkant Mehta, he learnt the intricacies of the business, most importantly the ethics that built the name.  Still maintaining the painstaking methods of quality control, Pranav is personally involved in the various stages of product manufacture. This ensures that Bapalal continues to offer clients only the best, as has been the company's aim since its inception.
Employing  around  25 people, Bapalal has kept itself  lean helping them respond to individual requirements. Peers, who know the trade from the inside, acknowledge Bapalal as the prime center for quality diamonds and jewelry even today. 

Custom  made   jewelry   is   our   specialty.  A workshop in Bombay for fine open set jewels  and in Chennai for traditional closed setting  jewels ensures the best craftsmen work on  our jewelry. 


Showroom

Bapalal and Co.  has relocated to a new showroom this year. Being more spacious and better located, it affords clients easier access and an improved shopping environment. The company continues a steady growth, with a greater portion of the business now coming from exports of diamond jewelry to countries like the US, Australia and other countries.
